Announcing

There is an art gallery on America’s highways. Old school pinstriping, hand painted flames, fiendish skulls, demons, eagles, wildlife and nature scenes along with frightening dragons, sexy temptresses and fantasy images are all part of the motorcycle culture.

Known throughout the industry as Letterfly, Dave Knoderer has been drawing and painting since he was a child. An apprentice to the sign and design trade as a teenager, his appetite for the unusual and challenging led him to many sensational projects. The first airbrushed mural on a motorcycle was completed in 1976, followed by a steady stream of similar work. A skilled painter, he has designed large wall graphics and theater sets, themed interior and exterior murals in amusement parks and restaurants, crafted delicate Gold Leaf window treatments, and the gilding and ornamentation of Antique Fire Engines. He is a regular contributor at bike events from Daytona and the Black Hills, to Laconia and at customer- friendly Harley-Davidson stores at all points in-between. True expression captured with masterful brushwork is all part of the Letterfly experience.

In an effort to make this unique service available to our community, customer dedicated Harley-Davidson stores are proud to announce that the artist, Letterfly, is, once again, the resident artist at your store. You are welcome to peruse the “Art Gallery” of works on display in the parking lot, enjoy watching the hand painted designs come to life as he plies his special skills as pinstripe, pictorial and lettering artist on motorcycles and helmets for an increasing list of satisfied customers. The artist will also be happy to discuss the creation of a one-of-a-kind image for you and your scoot during this limited engagement.

Letterfly is the premier artist for our annual Open House and traditionally, will set up early for those who may be unable to attend your event. Due to his popularity if you may want to come early, the line forms quickly!!
